Prediction: He'll be a starter for the Tigers in 2019 and 2020.
I know the staff at JCC was hoping to get time slot on ESPN on signing day for a live announcement. This might be a compromise to still get him and the school some national PR around his commitment.
On the other hand, he is scheduled to visit Auburn this weekend. Perhaps, the LSU staff asked him to go ahead and make it public so they can be sure of their plans...
