Texas is understandably gaining momentum on the recruiting trail after the big win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa last week.

The Longhorns will be hosting a slew of talented recruits from the 2024 and 2025 class in Week 3, but one of the more interesting visitors is an LSU commit.

Five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore will be in Austin on Saturday night for the Wyoming game. Moore reportedly told Inside Texas on Wednesday that he would be making the trip to visit Texas. Orangebloods’ Jason Suchomel has also confirmed the report.

Moore committed to LSU on August 12 and the Longhorns were considered one of the top schools in his recruitment. It’s clear Steve Sarkisian’s staff has not backed off communication over the last month.

The Duncanville product (Denton, TX) is rated the No. 2 wide receiver in the country for the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 1 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports.

This will be Moore’s first visit to another school since his commitment to LSU.

We've got to start winning these battles. Hopefully just tripping for fun times...

He's gonna be a top 10 overall player with over a year to go in his recruitment. It's expected he'll get heat from other programs, we just have to buckle in and punch back.

A quick post history from you would reveal you’re a negative pansie. Or an LSU troll. Get shoved.

Word is he is super locked in with LSU. Expect him to be on LSU's campus a lot.

Texas has shown the ability to start strong and then lose a few late.

They played a lazy Alabama team. Bama is much better than what showed out that game.

If you were a top 5 commit. Would not want to enjoy the process of everyone spoiling you. He picked LSU after Simmons committed. Caden and him seem locked in with LSU. He was at LSU last weekend

Whose word? I’m not trying to be a downer but LSU insiders are some of the worst at knowing what recruits are thinking. Been wrong so many times on big recruits. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t trust our insiders word that he’s locked in with us, that could just as easily mean he’s yanking our chain. I suppose that’s true for anyone and is the nature of recruiting but still, LSU insiders are notoriously out of the loop compared to insiders from our recruiting rivals.

Not with the QB playing like Brandon Harris at times.

Oh no, a top 5 national commit visiting another school! What will we ever do? Some people are too short sided to realize he was on LSU’s campus last weekend.

I try to keep it level headed as best I can. The kid and his family really like LSU. He was young enough to watch the 19 team and want to be that guy.

Doesnt matter. They beat the brand. We going to have to start looking a little more organized on offense to keep talent in the class

The kid also idolizes OBJ. Now what that actually means in the grand scheme of things, who knows. But it can't hurt.

I can't take the article serious if they don't know where Dville or Denton is.

Hahaha nice. That’s good to hear. Not trying to be disrespectful or anything just curious is all.

Thanks for you’re contributions to the board CC!
