Is Toviano a safety???

Based on his weight and height, I assumed he was an outside corner. 247 also has him listed as a corner, but I noticed the other day that on3 has him listed at safety.
Aren't we looking at him at corner?

I’m pretty sure the coaches are recruiting him to play corner.

Definitely could play either way but LSU wants him at CB and they should

The scheme that House runs utilizes a different type of CB. One that is physical and good in run support and plays zone well. That’s what he ran at Kentucky.

I think he can play both man and zone which is what we want. I’d love for LSU to get back to mixing man and zone in our scheme. It’s so confusing for QBs at this level and creates a ton of TOs. Then with a fast and physical DL to pass rush and play the run, we’ll have a really good defense in the future!

I think he’s pretty versatile and can play corner, nickel or safety. Corner probably the highest potential spot for him

Keep hearing he is being recruited as a corner but after seeing the impact Ward is having in this defense can’t help but imagine him in that role. Coincidentally, Ward was also initially recruited as a CB.

Ward played nickel last night, not safety or CB.

I know they switched Brooks and Ward but he wasn’t playing nickel on that INT.
