Cutting Mosaic Tile with cheap wet saw

I did it with a cheap one but a good diamond blade. Worked well but a huge mess. Also I tell myself each time I do a project like that just to hire someone. I never learn.

Pretty much any wet saw will do it if you have a decent blade. Sometimes the tile will come off the mesh but no big deal, just install those individually.

Depends on the type of tile too. Glass mosaic? Good luck with a cheap saw, you'll probably chip out or break 2 out of three pieces of tile you cut. I have a rebadged MK Diamond 370, decent for light contractor and DIY work. Blades are everything though, if you have a local flooring business then go there for blades, the stuff they carry at box stores isn't great.

The cheap table saw style has pretty much the same motor as the cheaper sliding rail saws. Basically just a grinder locked in place. If you're only using it once the table saw will be fine, but they do suck compared to the others as far as ease to use. And don't cut quite as smooth because it's not getting as much water flow directly to the bade. If you ever plan on doing any other tile projects I'd spend a little more on a sliding rail, but if that's it, it'll be fine with a new blade.

Picked up a used Felker TM-75 with a float and two trowels in great shape for 65.
