Bo Duke speaks out before heading to jail

I’m disheartened with the system but my heads up
The great shake down
I truly believe that alimony is an antiquated system, and if women are truly liberated as they say they are, then they’ll certainly agree that it is. I feel for John. You can’t squeeze blood out of an orange, even a blood orange. If the man doesn’t have it, he doesn’t have it.
quote:
Minutes before turning himself in to jail, John Schneider spoke to Fox News on the phone about how he plans to spend his upcoming three days behind bars for unpaid alimony.
The "Dukes of Hazzard" star was sentenced to three days in jail for failing to pay his estranged wife, Elvira Castle, alimony. He says he cannot afford the payments. The actor claims that he has hit hard financial times and spent most of his money repairing his movie studio in Louisiana after it was destroyed in a March 2016 flood.
"I'm disheartened with the system but my head's up, and I'm going to go do what I have to do and make it through the next couple of days," the actor told Fox News exclusively.
quote:
"It's common sense versus entitlement. I've worked seven days a week, 80 hours a week, at least since 1978," he said as he prepared to turn himself in. "I have, as every working person has, a mountain of debt that was attached to my dream. And there's a group now that somehow feels they're entitled to life or even luxury without work and the judicial system apparently agrees with that."
quote:
"If I had it [money], I would've given it to her just to let this go away but I don't have it," he said. "Hopefully this is evidence of that."

It is, but it's just now starting to turn our way. Let the working feminist feel our pain for a few decades before getting rid of it. There have been several very entertaining stories about working women having to pay alimony in their divorce.

Maybe Bo should have spoken up a long time ago when this kind of shite was happening to normal folks.

I've never understood locking someone up for not paying child support or alimony. If they're working and you lock them up, you run the risk of losing their way to pay. Then, no one gets money, and the dude goes back to jail shortly thereafter

What disability does she have which prevents her from working?

I'm assuming most of the songs on this album were written about the crazy bitch he's going to jail over.

I had a female client recently that was paying 6 figures in alimony. Have to admit, I chuckled.

God damn... just found something that says they split 4 years ago and he's paying over $18,000 a month in alimony. That's re-goddamn-diculous
