So how much do new car prices increase after the UAW gets its new contract?

New auto prices are already insane, but how much will they increase when their labor costs increase by a minimum of 20%?

There’s gotta be a breaking point.

Prices already went up without anybody getting a raise. Wages not keeping up with inflation is a huge problem. Conservatives blaming workers is a huge fail. Blackrock is laughing at you all.

No ones wages are keeping up with 10% inflation.

News flash. Auto workers aren't the only ones whose wages aren't keeping up with inflation.

Foreign car manufacturers fixing to eat with their non-UAW workforce.

I don’t think conservatives are blaming workers. They’re blaming Biden’s monetary policies of spending too much money. However, this just adds to the fire. If you don’t think UPS workers making 150k per years increases inflation as well as dumb shite like the green new deal, then I don’t know what to tell you.

Not just buying a new car is more expensive, but also maintenance, insurance, gas are more expensive. At this rate, I might get a scooter as my next vehicle.

You really think companies are just going to tell their shareholders, sorry we have lower profits because we increased wages?

These demands from UAW will likely kill off one of the American automakers

I don’t need a truck so I’ll likely never buy from big 3 ever again. Tesla or a telluride in my future. The bronco and lightning chaos made me give up on Ford entirely

It's way closer to 20% than 10%.

Biden (or who ever is running the show) will tout that we can all save by having a cheap maid and lawn care services because he let all those asylum seekers in.

The union was offered 20% wage increase and turned it down. We can certainly blame the union on that one. Also, the union does not negotiate salary increases based on individual performance, and that is intentional to keep union members dependent on the union. We can certain blame union members for not holding their union accountable.

UAW is being idiotic here. The domestic automakers can't just increase prices or everyone will buy foreign as their prices will be more competitive.

Not to mention, most UAW jobs are in very low income areas for a reason. They can pay less there due to cost of living. Those people will be fricked if they lay off because there aren't other opportunities for them.
