frick FODB, Moldy, Bregman and everyone else's unclutchness, some of Pressly's terrible blown saves, Bagwell, Crane, Chas's apparent fatness, Yanier for being too good, FODB again, and this entire season. Anything else?

Bregman has to be at the top of the list of blame.

Just checked box scores of last 12 games (3-9).

Bregman is 5-41 (.122) overall with 3 of those hits coming in 1 game.

0-for in 9 of those 12 games.

Only thing we can thank FODB for is the low morale around here. That's about it.

Said Mauricio Dubon, who's been here for about 5 minutes, was terrible last year and had almost nothing to do with either title or the other 2 pennants they've won in this 6-year stretch.

His quote is a symptom of the overall problem. An average player at best riding the coattails of the real engine-drivers of the Astros' success. They now have too many guys like him occupying roster spots and office space.

I think they should drastically change the lineup..Bregman in the 2 or 4 is laughable right now. He was a beast in august but is awful in September. Basically Altuve, Alvarez, Diaz, and Chas are the most reliable hitters right now with an argument for Abreu. Tucker, Bregman, and Peña have been arse and need to be in bottom third until they prove they are out of their funk.

Wtf why are we overblowing a nothing quote that’s just basically saying he’s not worried because he likes the team they have in the locker room. It’s really not that deep, self belief isn’t a bad thing.

Is he wrong for being not worried? Absolutely based on the work they’ve put in this month. But in theory he’s correct the entirety of that roster has enough skins on the wall for them to have some confidence

The rest of the quote is “Everybody in the clubhouse is a dog, it’s a matter of going in there and taking care of business”

It's all about motivation.

And there's just not enough of it to keep the train rolling.

These guys have mostly been paid for if they were gonna get it. Tucker knows he's headed elsewhere.

As good as Framber has been, he's a .500 pitcher for the team.

Can't be said enough, baseball is a funny game. Braves are the best team in baseball right now, which should bother their fans come playoff time.

Go find any time in the past 7 years that the Astros have played this bad for a 15 game stretch..I don’t think it’s happened just going on memory. It certainly didn’t happen when the team was in a division race. So we are in unprecedented territory with this era of the team and to just expect that everything will flip back to previous performance standards is nonsense. The team isn’t as good and is in this situation because our manager spent the first 140 games gong through the motions like it was a guarantee we would make the playoffs. If he had managed the team properly from the get-go we would have won at least 5-10 more games and this type of a slump wouldn’t be as big of a deal.

It gets referenced and joked about, but truthfully, it's LSU football with Les Miles

I don't really blame Dubon for the quote. It doesn't come off well, but to hit at a major league level you have to have an almost irrational amount of self belief.

I do blame Dusty for empowering guys like him, Maldonado, and Abreu to be outspoken "leaders"

The worst players on any team cannot effectively lead no matter how much experience they have.

Carlito wouldn't have let this happen.

It’s a bad quote in the wake of getting swept by a 100-loss team. Something like “we need to shake it off” is a better thought.
