Ties in the World Cup?

Tried watching the World Cup this year and USA ended in a tie and now the Mexico/Poland game is about to do the same.
Lol pathetic… ties shouldn’t exist. It’s a waste of everyone’s time. The players, the fans, everyone gets ripped off.

In group play the ties really don't matter unless you just want to declare a winner
It's about goals scored that will determine who gets out of group play and it's fair for everyone

It's not at all. There is no need for group stage games to have an additional 30 minutes or more tacked on just to satisfy American sports fans.

The point of the World Cup isn’t to determine a winner in every match. It’s to determine one champion at the tournament’s conclusion. Ties in the group stage are useful in accomplishing that goal.
