LSU vs. UTSA Series Preview

UTSA strolls into Baton Rouge with a 5-3 record with series wins over Sam Houston(2/3) and UT Arlington(3/4) and a midweek loss to #9 TCU 6-3. In my opinion, this is LSU's biggest test so far this year.
Team Batting Average: .320, slugging .489 (7 guys bat over .300, Leading the pack is Joshua Lamb batting .400)
Team HRs: 10 (Nick Thornquist and Ian Bailey with 2)
Runs per game: 8.25
Other offensive stats: Only 57 strikeouts on the year (7 per game)
Pitching stats: Team ERA of 2.74 (5 guys in the pen have a 0.00 ERA.)
Starting pitchers: Shane Daughety(0.75 ERA, 12IP), Reece Easterling(1.74 ERA, 10.1 IP), Luke Malone(3.38 ERA, 10.2 IP)
Team Strikeouts: 72 SOs(Average 8 SOs per game, Shane Daughety leads the way 12)
On paper, this team looks to be dangerous. I'm looking forward to seeing Jaden Hill get back out there tonight and bounce back from what happened last week. I'm curious to see what we do with the infield this week. I really like Zach Arnold at second baseball. Doughty seems comfortable at 3rd, and Thompson doesn't seem to have any problems at SS. LSU really needs to get the bats rolling, as we are one week away from hosting Mississippi State at The Box.
Keys for a series win:
-Take advantage of RISP with less than 2 outs.
-Move runners over anyway we can
-Pitchers need to limit the walks
This will be a series grind IMO, but LSU takes 2/3.
Lets get the weekend started boys!

I hope Hill’s first ten pitches are all off-speed

Ready to see Hill back with nastiness

Want to see Crews get back to driving the ball like he was at the very beginning. Every at bat was a potential HR.

lmao im sorry i wanted to see something other than a .170BA get a chance. Don't forget to remind everyone else about my other comments on how the season is still young and how Milazzo is 100% better defensively.

Their coach is good. He turned incarnate word decent in the southland while he was there.
