Clemson fans point to last years Bama game - Tua

Go watch that film. The D line was the ONLY factor in that game. Tua was on the money when he had a clean pocket. Receivers were open.

Fortunately for Clemson that stupid good dline was in his grill more often than not.

Lmao idk what those fans don't understand about the fact that Clelin Ferrell, Dexter Lawrence, Christian Wilkins, and Austin Bryant aren't walking through those Superdome doors to play.

Their DL this year will be the 5th or 6th best we've played. That isn't a knock on them, it's just the fact that you need 4 man rushes from the DL to truly affect a great offense. They do not have that this year.

It could be very similar. LSU could do to Clemson what Clemson did to Bama.

That was Tua's worst game. I think if they replayed that matchup 10 times last year, that still would have been Tua's worst game.

If Joe plays as bad as Tua did, we are in trouble,but there's no reason to expect him to play that badly.

The pick 6 was Tua just throwing to his presnap read without looking. It was a massive play for sure. Joey does not blindly throw the ball like that.

Another huge thing in that game was the fact that alabama had to start a couple guys at CB and safety who were not even drafted and are now out of football. Clemson was well coached enough to stay away from their one good corner and target Savion Smith over and over on third down for huge gains.

LSU does not have the kind of secondary weakness that Alabama had. All of our guys will be drafted, everyone is healthy. They may hit a couple plays against us, but they will not light us up like they did Alabama.

Just attempt to explain how that’s cherry-picking? Yards per attempt/completion are the equalizer in passing stats.

Getting pressure with their front 4 was the biggest difference That was the first time in a long, long time that I had seen a team do that to Bama. Clemson doesn't have those guys this year, although they do have legit talent on that side of the ball.

I think their gameplan will have to be different if they want to get that same pressure and they'll disguise coverages foe sure. Burrow is so damn good at recognizing things quickly that I think he'll be fine.
