So we could get a Louisiana boy that talks like us and pay Les not to coach.

Because he isn’t a good coach. Hence the reason he is still unemployed.

I don't know. I'm seeing a stubborn guy taking up for his home boy calling the plays. Sound familiar?

Because he was never beating Bama again, and the offense was never going to change.

It was 100% the right choice.

I was told it was because he couldn't get us a championship level anymore. Now why the frick we hired O to us there? No clue.

For the millionth time:

moving on from Miles was the right decision at the right time.

Following that decision with the one to hire Ed Orgeron was a colossal mistake.

That mistake was compounded when he was allowed to name Ensminger as OC.

Joe Alleva thought he knew how to run a football program better than Les.

I do not think he was right about that but it was time for Les to go, just not for the current guy

Well, we got blown out by Ole Miss and Arkansas in 2015 and started out 2-2 in 2016, so we were starting to have big issues with Les. The hiring process is where LSU screwed up and we are very fortunate that we are doing as well as we are to be honest.

And what do we have now?

Yes the offense looks diff but same results. So why did we waste the money?

He gets paid not to coach. Contrary to popular belief he isn't stupid and could coach if he wanted.

Because we had no chance of winning another national championship with him.

Unfortunately, we hired a shitty DL coach who we have no chance of winning a national championship with either.

Because he was stubborn, complacent and the program got stale, there’s no disputing that. I’ll always admire and respect Les Miles for what he did for LSU but he’d run his course and it was time for him to go. How the aftermath of Les has been handled is a whole other argument

Because Alleva is a brainless eunuch that bought into O's twisted plea to his manhood about how Miles leveraged Arkansas into an extension.

Nevermind that he deserved the extension the year before and Arkansas wouldn't have even been in play had he done the right thing after 2011.

These two ethically bankrupt numbnuts deserve each other.

The question was "Why did we get rid of Les"?

I answered it.

I like Les....but he had no attention to detail....Coach O may not be able to compete with Bama, but we don't see all the idiotic time-outs, clock mismanagement, etc. that we did with Miles....

Yeah....we seemingly can't beat Bama....but who in this conference CAN beat them on a regular basis???

Because after the annual loss to Bama, he started a trend of then also losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Because he was an idiot. His true colors came out when we found out he was all about money, not innovating every year like the rest of the elite programs. He’s why we aren’t elite anymore...
