Last 13 Heisman Winning QBs - Quote from Saturday Down South

"...here’s where Daniels ranks in each of these categories, compared to the previous 13 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks:
• Total Offense: 1st
• Yards Per Attempt: 1st
• Touchdowns Per Game: 3rd
• Pass Efficiency: 1st (and an FBS record)
• Total QBR: 1st
• EPA Per Game: 1st
• PFF Grade: 2nd (tie)
I know this has probably already been said ad nauseam, but I don't think it can be said enough.

If you asked defensive coaches across the nation who is the QB they would LEAST like to face, it would be Daniels. Hands down. There might not be another QB in the nation against whom a defense can do everything exactly right and the play still result in a 40+ yard gain. That is indicative of the "best player".
However, the reality is the voters equate best player with wins. Meaning the "best player" should win all of his games. Michigan is undefeated. Does anyone really think McCarthy was a better QB than Daniels was this season? Hell, I bet if you asked Michigan fans who they would rather have going to the CFP, Daniels or McCarthy, the honest ones would tell you Daniels.

Daniels should absolutely win the Heisman. It should be a foregone conclusion at this point.
Sadly, if Oregon beats Washington, behind a decent offensive performance, he probably doesn't win it. It's sad that the award for best college player is given based off of team success. Oregons defense has been a major factor in their dominance as of late.

It will be the ultimate screwing if JD5 doesn't win the Heisman this year!

They should split the award into 2 divisions
Heisman - Jayden D.
Heisteam - Bo N.

I love JB and JD but if LSU was undefeated I think he would defintely challenge JB's largest margin of victory for the Heisman...he should be challenging it anyway with what he has done.

Without looking, I’d assume Tebow and Burrow.

if LSU was undefeated, Jayden may have as many as 3 more games, during which Joe's TD passes and yardage marks would also be in Jeopardy. It'd be nothing for Jayden to get 1000 yards and 10 TDs in 3 games. Incredible!

One other point that I have not heard mentioned and I finally got around to looking at is JD's offensive production in the three losses. Many people are making a thing about the losses hurting his chances.
FSU - 346/64/400
OM - 414/99/513
Bama - 219/163/382 (left game after 3 qtrs due to injury - projects to 509 for 4qtrs)
