This video tells me all I need to know about Nuss; he will throw the ball to where his WRs will get the ball or he'll throw them open (specifically Georgia and Purdue). As far as I've seen JD hasn't been able to do that.

Noticed how it opened up the run game too.

You will be shouted down and called racist, but you’re correct

JD didn’t get recruited over here via transfer to sit the bench, and he damned sure didn’t stay for another season to compete for his job.
You’ve got your starting quarterback and ‘Heisman candidate’ for the year. It’s his team this year. Kelly chose his horse a long time ago. I don’t know why anyone would expect some drastic move at this point. JD is his guy, right or wrong.

Watching that blue balled me so hard just to watch jayden run around like a beer league flag football game this week.

So instead of building toward the future we’re stuck with JD for another wasted year of trying to “win now”

Can Nuss make the WR’s catch the ball and not drop it?
Because that was the issue.

Did you watch the same game the rest of us watched? He sucked.

You are correct. That is why Brennan retired and why Howard left. They Knew!
If Daniels had another year of eligibility, IMO, Nuss would have left also.
Nuss knows he has two more years to be the starter. So why not live his dream of leading the Tigers.

He must be doing something the coaches don't like to make him the backup...why do fans think the coaches aren't playing the guy they think gives us the best chance for success?

You see it. I see it. Lots of other people see it.
Kelly for whatever reason either doesn't see it, or ignores it, and is just dead set on playing JD.
Coaches, just like a lot of bosses, don't like to admit that they were mistaken or just plain wrong.
Kelly doesn't have to bench JD. He just has to give Nuss a few series each game. Give the opposing team something else to have to defend. That last few games against quality opponents shows that they've figured out how to defend against JD.

I don't think it's that Nuss is doing something bad, I think the staff is just stubborn and doesn't want to answer the hard questions about why they changed QB.

It's so frustrating to watch that and know there is no chance we will see it this season outside of a blowout.

with all due respect sport
how can you watch that video evidence and not see a VAST difference between the two triggermen...

from the time i have seen him play he doesn't make the best decisions and trusts his arm too much throwing into 2-3 man coverages. Yes he looked great against Georgia...how good did he look vs Southern though?
Coaches know their job is on the line with how the team performs...I just can't think of one logical reason to play the guy who they think isn't the best.

Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. JD lacks the fundamentals that makes this team better. Watching Nuss highlights will make you sick and pissed off at the potential we have riding the bench for this JD experiment. I'm not going to lie, I am pulling for a change in QB because we know exactly what we get and what to expect from JD. On the other hand, Nuss gets both tight ends receivers involved, something we haven't had the pleasure of viewing because JD sucks.

The issue IMO is that Kelly has built the entire offense around JD’s skill set. Everything they do revolves around around one guy and his specific strengths/weaknesses. It all changes if you put in the other guy because they are completely different players. JD is the type of player that Kelly (and a lot of other coaches these days, it seems) wants at QB. A safe, low risk option. Minimal turnovers, ball control, and the occasional breakout run. A guy they can run RPO and triple options with. Simple, uncomplicated, and athleticism based.
I hate it too, but he’s got the guy he wants. He’s not going to blow it all up at this point.

But , they have to win with JD . Headed into SEC play , I am worried watching the Fl St performance . It looked like they wasted training camp !
