The Only Flagship School and ULL's branding change

Im not sure if it bothers any of y'all, but I cannot stand people calling ULL the "University of Louisiana."
I find it very disrespectful to LSU and its brand. Louisiana-Lafayette (or USL) is a directional school that will never have the resources, brand recognition, or donor support to compete at LSU's level.
This name change crap started under Sunbelt Billy, and unfortunately continues to this day. IMO its disingenuous. Time for LSU admin to state theres only one true "state wide" "flagship" institution...everything/everyone else is a directional has been/wannabe.
*Edit: Maybe my concern is individuals claiming they have a degree (using that terminology). I went to the state institution and received my diploma. I LOATHE the comparison.*

What's annoying about it is that ULL only got the name approved by agreeing to 2 terms:
1. They had to refer to themselves with Lafayette part included, as in ULL or "University of Louisiana Lafayette", and
2. They couldn't be the only University of Louisiana ____ in the state, hence ULM.
