Things that shouldnt be lost from this season

We all know the things that will never be forgotten - Crews/Skenes etc.
But some of things we should never forget about:
- Milazzo's 3 year career as a hitter prior to this season was batting .157,....one-fifty-seven. He hit .289 this year after losing the starting catching job to a true freshman early in the season, then had to sit behind a red hot Travinski for a while as well. When push came to shove in the CWS with Neal out, and Travinski also hurt, he not only stepped up behind the plate like we always expect but in the last 4 CWS games he went 4 for 12 with a pair of walks and finished the season a shade under .290 hitting in almost 100 AB...absolute offensive explosion for a guy was literally hopeless at the plate in every prior season
- Cade Beloso missed all of last season and with the talent influx had no real intention of returning this season with seeing a reduced role, but got talked into coming back. Didn't start the season as a starter but found his way into the lineup and had the best season of his career going .324 with 16 home runs collecting 10 hits, 12 free passes and 2 home runs in the CWS
- Brayden Jobert only finished last year hitting .246 with 18 big knocks and to say at times he wasn't a fan favorite is an understatement in a way. What did he do this year? Hit .301 while collecting 9 hits, 4 free passes and 3 home runs in the CWS to cap off a big improvement year for him
- Gavin Dugas saw himself start off the season well and hit a pretty notable slump during the year falling down the order. He comes back in the CWS to collect 8 hits, 13 free passes, and a pair of home runs to cap off the season in a big way
- Jordan Thompson became internal enemy #1 during the CWS among the fanbase. He was 1 for 30 with 4 errors in the CWS entering the deciding game 3 with many in the fanbase contemplating if there was anyone else who could play for him. Dude comes out and every AB the entire stadium is chanting his name and he finishes things off getting 2 hits and 3 RBI
Just some of things I hope that are never forgotten from this season from the non-star players.

Travinski deserves a mention

This season had so much.
This team went from stacked pitchers to Skenes showing up, Floyd holding the rope but no third starter thanks to injuries and Little and Hurd not starting hot. By the post season we were running everyone out on the mound.
Guidry going from ss that likely won’t play to back end shut down guy.

I don't think Dugas was even in the starting lineup early on. He got to play when Tanks went down. Blessing in disguise?

After being around here reading all the comments, I was down on how negative fans were in general. Hearing the stadium chanting his name clear as day made me realize it's just a few idiots and LSU fans are wonderful as a whole.

Nippolt started the first game because there was thought to be some competition at 2B, but Dugas still played some in that first game then started the 2nd game at 2B and stayed there rest of season

How about losing what, 4-5 key pitchers, in addition to Neal? We shouldn’t ever forget Floyd, Hurd, Coop, Ack and others stepping up bigly. We won 2/3 against a redhot Florida team without Skenes picking up a baseball. Wow.

This is the best description of this board I've seen.

Baseball is a hard game... but it is a game that can be so rewarding as well.
Happy for those you mentioned, Travinski, Cooper and Hurd should be mentioned as well.
Coach Jay Johnson needs a mention, too.

I know every season has its guys & things that make them special but this one seemed like it had heart on a whole different level
Dugas, Beloso, Milazzo, Thompson all veterans who lived & breathed LSU
Morgan who just had fun, you can see how much he loves the game & his teammates
One if the things we complained about for years was lack of leadership in the dugout
We had it in spades this season & now it’s time for the next round of guys to step up which I have no doubt they will
