Vandy vs. #5 Ole Miss 2021
4IP 0ER 8K

Kid has the arm talent. Jay had him closing that Arky game early in the season for a reason. He got hit around, then he got scared to throw in the zone and got the walk bug.

100% mental with him just like it was with Hurd.

Closed out the Texas game earlier this season, (Texas should be in the CWS).

With that high leg kick, don’t be surprised if Little doesn’t get the start to use the shadows on the field early to deceive WF hitters.

Yeah, and the dipshits that know nothing about pitching said the same thing about Thatcher Hurd.

Those transfers didn’t get brought in to fill roster spots. They have elite arm talent.

They do, but go look at Little’s last 5 or so appearances. Little isn’t throwing unless we are out of arms.

Little would be an absolute last resort. You forgot to mention he can’t throw a strike either. 33 IP 28 BB this season. That’s horrific.

Got blown up against Arkansas trying to close. Lost confidence. Then was scared to throw in the zone and walked everyone.

If you don’t think pitching is 90% mental, you are kidding yourself.

A lot of pressure got put on Hurd and Little due to injuries. Hurd reset and found it. Little will do the same at some point.

See above. That’s a real thing when a pitcher is battling with confidence after blowing a save.

He has the talent, we have seen it
It’s 100% mental & at this point I’m not sure you leave him in long but at some point he’s going to have to step up, we need arms

We have 18 outs to get. Like it or not we need him to win.

I agree with trying to use the shadows with a breaking ball pitcher early in the game, but why the hell would that be little?

You don't put little out there to start a game. He'll probably be needed, but I don't see it being to start a game.

Little's issue isn't his stuff. It's his control, which was way out of control this year. But, when you're in this position, every arm is in play.

We have to beat Wake Forest twice. 9 + 9 = 18.

Not sure if that was a joke lol

You also can’t bring him in with runners on in a tight situation
I think he would be better off starting (& have someone at least stretching in case they need to get warm quickly) or brought in to start an inning where we have a comfortable lead
Basically a no pressure situation

They will have 3 guys ready to go to start the game. One doesn’t work on to the next. Highly unlikely anyone goes more than 2 innings. Little is the only one with stuff capable of seeing the lineup more than once.
