Dude pitched lights out through 5 innings, 10K’s and only allowing 3 base runners. Just like we all knew he could. Wake could not hit his fastball whatsoever. 2 hits going into the 6th just mowing guys down. Then the ump completely changed his strike zone, killed his rhythm and it got to him.

When he had the first batter he walked 0-2 and walked him missing high 4 times in a row, he should have been pulled. If not, definitely after the second walk.

He went cold. yeah the ump was bad but it was obvious he was losing his control. Floyd does it often and everyone here could see it but Jay couldn’t.

One of his best games. It was sickening to watch that ump destroy his momentum.
Floyd has nothing to be ashamed of. CJJ should have had someone warming going into the 6th though.

IF you already know you are NOT getting the calls, do something different

You dot one perfectly in the bottom part of the zone and not get a call and then tell me how easy it is to come back and get the out.

Gtfoh with that losing control bullshite

He did great. I feel bad for him too because he did an awesome job with some terrible calls. It was clear he was losing control though and wasn’t pulled quick enough.

No

The dude was rolling and had 10ks in 5 IP

He wasn’t spraying the back stop with wild pitches. Pulling him doesn’t change the umps strike zone.

If anyone should have been pulled early, it was Travinski. Dude was worn out and got sloppy framing pitches.

How many times has Floyd gone more than 6 innings?

Jay did the right thing by not pulling him too quick and putting in Hurd before he was warmed up. But, Jay had a colossal judgement error not having someone starting to get ready when Floyd was creeping up on 90 pitches

The ump cost us the game. No doubt about it.

People can blame whoever they want for that loss. I believe it’s on Jay for not pulling Floyd sooner.

He may have. I just remember it seemed like Hurd had to rush his warm up? I could be completely wrong. I had a lot to drink.

And if he was ready to go, why wait for the wheels to come off to put him in?
