Where did y’all go to school? I know a lot of NE schools don’t have FBS football programs if that’s where you’re hailing from but generally the consensus in these threads is usually to where your own school’s gear to show you’re an out of towner visiting campus and Tiger Stadium and that’s your ice breaker. All you have to do at that point is walk up to tailgates with a rolling ice chest full of beers and any large friendly looking tailgate you roll up to is going to be willing to let you eat and drink all day.

Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. A very small school with no football. Appreciate the advice!

With that many guys, y’all should do one of the paid tailgates by the engineering building. It’s BYOB but well worth it for a large group that has no place to go & knows nobody. That said… You’ll know everybody by game time. You walk up to a tailgate & tell them it’s your first game & you’re not from here, LSU fans will go out of their way to feed you and get you drunk. We’ve had bachelor parties next to us the last 2 years & them boys left both times with quite the impression of what tailgating is supposed to be….if they remember it. Idk what it is about guys from outta town coming to “see what it’s all about” but they’re like a shiny new toy to us lol

Florida fans are the worse in the SEC.

Make sure you walk through the parade grounds during peak time, like 3-4 hrs before the game. It is full of students/greek students with tents, homemade bars, loud music, etc. It takes me back to when life was easy and a blast.

There is a lot of tailgating surrounding the parade grounds as well.

Being your first time here, I don't suggest parking/tailgating on the areas west of the stadium (I am referring to the area of sports facilities like Alex Box). You don't get the charm as you would near the parade grounds and under the Oaks on campus, some of the areas on campus are quiet so keep walking around as there are parties everywhere.

Drive down sorority/fraternity row along the lakes when you arrive. It is best to do this for a homecoming game. Otherwise it is a good box to check especially that it does not require walking.

I would consider buying a parking pass in a lot on the secondary market. It eliminates the stress and inefficiency of finding a spot. Not that you could not find a reasonable spot on gameday, but it is more organized. I do this for away games and it is well worth it.

Start your day early. LSU pre-parties are so much fun that time flies by especially from a few hours before the game to kickoff. You want to savor every minute of it.

Bring a sign that says "from ***** New York, 1st LSU game ever".

You'll make a shitload of new friends and get drunker and fatter than ever.

If 230 game be walking on campus around 800. If it’s a later game be walking on campus around 800. You won’t regret it.
