Just seeing the shockingly close score. Were we ever in danger of losing?

At least we won the series regardless of what happens tomorrow.

I’ll hang up and listen.

We won a baseball game in February
Newsflash they won’t win every game, or blow every team out
It was a good game

Baseball is different

LSU will lose some games

Only thing that matters is host Regional & Super

And get to Omaha

Does that cover it? Maybe it can stop all of the "ooooh, Rant is gonna melt when they lose" or "Wow, that game was close"

We had one pitcher , Collins , who came in and wet the bed and then he was pulled and it was back to normal

We didn't exactly light up their starter, a soft LHP, our kryptonite. Dugas hit a HR to lead off the game, he walked 5 guys, we pretty much just scratched our way though him and a solid RH. Good at bats, just not much to show.

W Michigan chipped away a little bit. But, we were in control of the game from wire to wire. Collins wasn't great but Ack shut them back down except for a loud but meaningless HR off the scoreboard.

I’ve been impressed with western Michigan. They are overmatched and barely been on the field but I like their grit and infield defense.

You can very much tell that they've been working on infield defense and hitting in cages indoors. You can't really do much for OF defense or live hitting indoors. Some wind-aided issues in the OF too, though, and their front sides are bailing bad at the plate. Gritty, for sure. Really just soaking it in, too, playing the #1 team in America, at Alex Box, no snow, win or lose this will be a trip they remember and use as a stepping stone/learning experience.

It never felt like we were going to lose the game.

They were getting no hit until we changed pitchers. Then another change and we were fine until they hit a late solo shot homer in the 9th. Not a big deal.

No. Hitting was off but pitching dominated minus Collins. We had a two run lead late in the game but it felt like 5.

They’ve never seen pitching like this either

They all looked wide eyed in the dugout when skenes was dealing yesterday
