2023: He hits 15 dongs this season and becomes the starting first baseman moving Tre to the outfield.
2024: He hits 30 dongs next season season and breaks/sets several program records earning All-American honors for the bat.
2025: Breaks Brandon Larson’s 40 homer single season record with 42 DONGS.

Leaves LSU as the most decorated hitter surpassing Larson, Walker etc…

LOL they aren't moving Tre to the outfield with how stacked we are out there.

There will be a lot of K’s along the way. Swing and miss comes with the record setting dong territory

He wont be here his junior year if he performs like you say the first 2.

And he isnt taking first base from trey no matter how much this fanbase tries to wishcast morgan to the outfield

I think it says something—I’m not exactly sure what—about a grown man who still refers to home runs as “dongs.”

As fun as yesterday was, I'm holding off on anointing anyone just yet. We had threads about Blake Money being one of the best pitchers in the SEC last year.

Jones had a great spring and continued that into yesterday, but I need to see a lot more AB's from him.

Joshua, I am in no way shape form etc wishing to move the best defensive first baseman in LSU history to the outfield. My question is in the event BEAR JONES proves to be the second coming of Sammy Sosa this year, where do you put him besides the everyday DH (keeping lots of talent on the bench)???

Same. Im sure skenes is better than money, talent wise and will get better coaching. But yeah, people are claiming he may be one of the best pitchers we’ve had, comparing him to strasburg….im not ready to go there. Nola is the standard for me.

Yeah ive seen plenty of newcomers crush in the non conference only to get humbled by sec pitching. I need to see it more

It's simple. He stays the every day DH.

My wife and I sat with his parents at the first pitch banquet. He comes from a big family and they were very nice people. They were worried he wasn't going to get much playing time this year so I'm glad to see it. Nice people.
