100% maybe not

I'm not too troubled about Walker Howard leaving. What troubles me is our coach said this--I absolutely 100% believe all three quarterbacks are going to be with us,”--I don't think he knows what 100% means.

Are you saying he can't add or he was just wrong in his belief? I mean, I know you're probably never wrong but I just want to be clear if we're just pointing out that he indeed was incorrect.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Do you know how quickly an 18-19 year old kid changes his mind? I believe that when BK talked to the three guys they all said they'd be back. Who's to say what changed since then?
Some big Fort Worth guy could've came and dropped a bag? Walker could've woke up and decided he didn't want to sit for another year.
I know we're all biased, but the kid could go to nearly any school and compete for the job this year.
Hard to say we'd do any different.

And I don't think you know what the word "believe" means.
"All of them we've had conversations with and feel that that's the direction we're going."
Maybe Howard flat out told Kelly he was going to transfer and Kelly just didn't hear him, huh? I mean a teenager wouldn't tell his coach what he wants to hear when he has an ulterior motive to be evasive or dishonest. The same teenager could never have a change of heart either. Right?

Apparently he didn’t believe he could compete for the job here so I don’t think he’s interested in a very competitive qb room. I think it’s more accurate to say he’s looking for a clear path.

No it's saying that you 100% believe. I don't think you know what 100% means. 100% means everything that you believe. If you don't know your most important position better than that, there's a good chance you're probably wrong about the others.

Yeah you're right - I should've phrased mine better. It sounds like he just wants to go somewhere and be handed the keys. I'd have liked to see him play for the Tigers, but I want a dude who's willing to compete for a job.

Maybe say, I hope all three of our quarterbacks stay. Or maybe I believe we will have all three quarterbacks. But not 100% believe!

Yeah, that's it. Jesus Christ. It's an expression meant to convey an extreme confidence. How do you react when a coach brags about a player giving 110%. It's an expression that a player is going above and beyond what is expected. How can your effort be more than 100% of what you are capable of?
