Is roster tampering just something we will have to expect?

I don’t know definitively that there was tampering by Auburn with Tolan. But, the chain of events doesn’t look good. I’d like to give Tolan the benefit of the doubt, but transferring within the conference and western division is a middle finger to LSU fans.
Regardless, multiple D1 coaches now have either outright said tampering is happening, or strongly alluded to it.
Does anyone expect changes to come from the NCAA or conference level to address this, or are we to expect a free for all year over year on every major roster?
My solution is to rid of the 1 free transfer. At a minimum these kids should have some penalty for transferring and make their commitments hold some weight.
This curbs the transfer-plug and play moves by programs, and makes transfers become longer term projections.

If it’s happening to us, and it’s “legal”, then my expectation is that we’re doing it too.

We are tampering as well
It’s the name of the game now
Gotta get used to it

I’m not naive, I believe LSU is probably playing the game as well. I still think it’s bad for the game, even if we occasionally benefit from it.
This has to be a nightmare for roster management.

There's a reason we have a top transfer class. We are playing the same game as everyone else, and we are playing it "better". That likely means we are tampering just as much if not more than others.

LSU tampers. Every university tampers. Yes, it's something to expect.
LSU recruits top 10 HS and transfer portal classes. That's better than 99% of universities. If you don't think LSU is tampering you're ignorant.

Posted this in Tolan thread. And you are correct, we are doing it too.
That’s because the way the rules are written, it is incredibly easy to tamper without technically breaking the rules. Schools can’t contact kids directly that are not in the portal. But they can easily get word to a player on another roster through an acquaintance, high school coach, or former teammate that they would be interested in said player “should” he enter the portal. Player tells his parents, the player’s parents contact the other school’s coach, and viola, no rules broken.

Y’all think Aaron Anderson just entered the portal on a whim?
C’mon

I didn’t see Tolan on McKernans payroll
Some of it is where is my share
And if you don’t pay me auburn will
Now if Perkins goes to bama because they offer him $1 million and lsu does not than I’m done with college sports
It’s no different than nba super teams at that point

With no standards around NIL , YES ! How does the NFL deal with the issue? Or do they just live with it thru all the player’s agents !

LSU is tampering. I have a close friend who cousin plays WR for Arizona state.LSU was having indirect contact with him during the season. Ebryone is doing it

was happening in college basketball even in the late 1980's
AAU ball made Duke a power with all the funny things they were pulling starting in the mid 1980's.
NIl deals are the aau effect x 1000, so from now on the normal maybe getting a player 1-2 years for star types.

It sucks but it is what it is, we’re doing it too.

KB would have left too if McKernan hadn't upped his NIL deal 2X.........

Many of the higher profile athletes are hiring NIL agents, who are communicating frequently with other schools / suitors on their behalf. Not to say there isn’t direct communication but this is definitely one avenue to exploring other options.

Should lose 1 year of eligibility to transfer. Simple.

We are probably just as guilty as anyone else. Look at some of the transfers we have gotten in
