only if you bring him an entree to go with it

I'm sure nothing will be said about you walking your dog by the cage. But why? Are you expecting for the tiger, or your dog, to get enjoyment out of that? Do you want to do it because you will somehow get enjoyment out of it? All reasons seem dumb.

There used to be signs asking not to bring dogs or cats near the cage because Mike was very playful and they didn't want him jumping into the glass a breaking a tooth as that is very dangerous for Tigers.

No. You are not supposed to bring pets.

That is not a good idea, and should not be allowed.

Yes, obviously Mike is no threat to a dog in his habitat, but he is very playful, could jump up and chip his tooth on his fence.
Dental infection is the most common cause of death for tigers in captivity or in the wild.
So yes, there are posted signs that pets are prohibited around Mike’s habitat.

If Mike is visible, that’s going to stress the shite out of your dog.

LSU asks you not to do this.

LSU's Mike the Tiger · Friends of Mike VII, Please do not approach the glass with live or stuffed animals. Mike VII can't yet tell the difference. He is very playful. If he throws himself against the glass in an effort to get to the "animal," he might break a tooth. Dental problems are the #1 cause of death in both wild and captive tigers. That is why the "keep pets away" signs are posted. Also, if you see people approach the habitat with pets in tow, or hold stuffed animals near the glass to get Mike to engage, please point out the "no pets" signs and ask them to help keep Mike VII healthy. Thank you.
