The lack of leaks regarding Nuss' future at LSU or teams having contacted him is telling

National sports news media, by heaping such high praise on LSU's backup QB, recounting his highlights and abilities vs Ga made Nuss a top target of the transfer portal. No other college player in a title game received this sort of national attention. One would have assumed by now there would be a few leaks by LSU regarding Nuss' future or leaks by other fan bases. There are always leaks but none so far, which is telling IMOP. Does Kelly have Nuss locked in at LSU? Sure feels that way.

IMO, he will likely be here through the spring at least. This is where he wants to be and will stick it out until he has no path to starting at LSU.

If you're right, what does that mean for Howard? Nuss has 3 years of eligibility remaining. Even if he only stays two more years, will Walker be ok with remaining a back-up until his 4th year in the program?

Nope. Walker or Nuss will be the next starting QB at LSU in either ‘23 or ‘24 depending on JD5. The other will not finish his career here and that’s okay. It’s today’s college football.

I think he's just preparing for the bowl game. Makes no sense to transfer or talk about it, when the season isn't over. He can easily just skip the portal right now and join after spring ball.

Nuss is aware of who is out there, and who may be looking for a QB that can start next year. Ohio St, USC, and Fla all come to mind, they all like to sling it. Yet not a peep from anyone. Kelly must have his QB locked in.

There’re only one year apart in signing class. It’s sucks and I wish we could have Nuss for two and Howard for two but that’s not reality. They’re both too talented to sit for long.
