If Georgia wins out with a 15 and 0 record with back-to-back championships they would maybe put them ahead of us and others to be the best team ever. Man-up LSU brings home the SEC trophy and protects our image at the same time. Geaux Tigers!

Nah. Give me Burrow and the Boys against any CFB team before or after that 2019 team.

LSU beat 7 top 10 Teams in 2019, Georgia 2022 has only played one top 10 team so far.

Agreed. The SEC is weaker this year than usual.

Georgia can win the rest of the way by 4 touchdowns and they really wouldn’t even be in the convo. Last years Georgia team was better.

They have 1 top 10 win and can only finish with 3. 19 LSU had 7.

The 2019 lsu team would not almost lose to an unranked Missouri.

2019 LSU didn’t struggle with anyone like 2022 mizzou and Kentucky

Burrow had the most Heisman votes ever.
Stetson Bennett isn’t even in the same stratosphere

LSU's 2019 team is better than 2022 Georgia for the same very simply reason that 2019 LSU is better than 2001 Miami, 2005 Texas, 1995 Nebraska, or any other undefeated college team you want to stack up ...

Joe Burrow. The QB is the most important single position in team sports. No college QB has ever operated on the level of 2019 Burrow. Until one does, there is really no serious debate.

Sure, I’ll defend 2019 LSU. We’d beat this shite out of this Georgia team. Next comparison!

Beat 7 top 9 teams, the preseason top 4. Bama on the road, Texas on the road, Georgia in Atlanta. Scored less than 30 one time. 726 points scored (most ever). Heisman with biggest blowout 1st place votes.

142-63 in post season games.

5000 yard passer
60 TD passes
1,400 yard rusher
2 x 1,500 yard receivers

Georgia has beaten 2 teams currently ranked.

This is so dumb. There's nothing UGA can do going forward to match it. Clemson went 15-0 in 2018 but no one compares them, so why would they compare this year's UGA? What UGA did last year is also irrelevant when comparing individual years.

It's not UGA's fault, but the SEC was stacked in 2019, not so much this year and they dodged Bama. UGA's best conference win this year is Tennessee, and assuming they go 15-0 their next best SEC win is LSU. Meanwhile 2019 LSU had to go through 2019 Bama (with Tua), UGA, Florida, and Auburn. Tennessee might be better than 2019 Auburn, though Auburn for sure has the better defense by a mile but I'm not sure I take this year's Tennessee team over 2019 Florida, and for sure not 2019 Bama and UGA. 2022 Oregon > 2019 Texas but not by as much as you'd think, and we had to play on the road rather than "neutral field" Atlanta.

As far as who they can play in the playoffs, 2019 Clemson is better than anyone else in this year's field (Michigan is somewhat interesting, they're physical as hell but I still take Clemson who had stout lines themselves with better skill players) and 2019 OU and 2022 USC are both Lincoln Riley sacrificial lambs with no defense (though USC can at least cause a lot of turnovers).

That's before even looking at performance. UGA has had too many uninspiring performances against the likes of Kent St, Mizzou, Kentucky, etc. And I promise you their drafted players aren't going to make as much noise in the NFL as much as 2019 LSU or 2001 Miami.

So that LSU team's legacy is safe.

2019 is the most accomplished CFB team ever. Period.

2001 Miami gets in the conversation based on how well their players did in the NFL. And make no mistake about it, their roster was packed. The '01 roster eventually had 17 1st rd picks. But they only played one top-10 team all year - Nebraska (had no business being the championship game). In fact, had we not defeated UTenn in the SEC CG, they were on their way to play Miami.

1995 Nebraska - dominant team. Smoked a very good UF team in the title game. Played four top-10 teams so not as accomplished. That said, they only six players taken in the entire '96 MFL draft (one in the 1st rd). There were 8 more players drafted in '97 (with 1 in the first rd.).

By comparison we had 14 players drafted in '20 (5 in the 1st rd) and another 7 in '21 (1 in the 1st rd).

Finally, we had Joe Burrow. Game over.

For anyone to beat us, they would have to play more ranked teams in a season. Not likely.

Now with expansion, the chances of someone doing that can go up, especially if someone goes 17-0, but until that happens...
