The more I rewatch it and now watching the Clemson/GT game doesn't seem like we were even lined up correctly on the edge seemed too tight and interlocked. The way the TE lined up there was no way he could get a hand on the guy who shot thru the inside

If I understood the explanation correctly, the FSU guy that blocked the FG earlier was lined to the outside of our outside blocker and he chose to try and block that guy, allowing the inside guy to blow through and block the PAT.

Everyone on the field goal line blocks to the inside, period. You never go out. A guy coming from the outside will 99.9% of the time be too late to block the kick. Always block down. Its not hard.

No the way it works is you block inside out. If the snap, hold and kick is on time the guy coming from the outside can NEVER get there.
This is special teams 101 and taught at an decent high school program. I’m honestly amazed at how shite like this happens on a college level.
On top of that you have a team of 100 players and you have a true freshman that you put in that position.
