Opting out for fear of injury is a weak excuse.

Sam Bradford and Andrew Luck, both got injured and were still number one picks in the draft.
Then you think about burrow’s injury last year or drew breese shoulder injury at San Diego. Both came back from injury and one just threw for 1000 yards in two games and the other went on to have a hall of fame career.
The moral of the story is, just because you get injured, doesn’t mean your career is over and your ability to make life changing money is gone.
You have a lot of players like Devin white that are competitors and doesn’t let the fear of injury enter into his mindset.
If your mindset is to avoid injury then your already limiting your full potential and will never really achieve your true potential.

Opting out is quitting and that’s ok, it’s their choice.

Let's say you are a top 5 pick. You get hurt and fall to ten. You just lost 12 mill.

How do you know you fell to 12 because of injury? Some have not dropped and others dropped for other reasons other than injury. See Warren sapp, guice, etc

Matt Corral just got injured in his bowl game... the horror!
It’s not going to affect his draft status a single bit. He’ll still go exactly where he would have if he sat out the Sugar Bowl.
I hope all of these guys that opt out of bowl games just stay in their room for a few months so they don’t put themselves at risk of a life ending auto accident.

Grown men fulfill their obligations
Usually ones less fun than playing a game for significantly less money

It's weak to obsess about others..

Corral will probably drop because he’s an inconsistent player who’s been kicked off multiple teams in the past, but I guarantee you people will blame it on his rolled ankle.

Nah, they made a commitment.
Unless you're a top 10 pick, or a running back assumed to be a first or second day pick, opting out is pretty dumb.

Like providing for their families. Playing a Texas Bowl for free doesn't help.

At this point in College Football I am of the mindset we should get rid of the Bowl games. Just have an 8-12 team playoff.

I opted out of college for a job that paid 12 bucks an hour. It's easy for me to understand their thinking on it. I don't blame them one bit. Good luck to them and I hope they make bank.

They better hope enough people care. When they don’t have people caring, they won’t have a game to make money or get scholarships.

Easy for you to say when you don’t have millions of dollars to consider.
