They seemed fake. A LSU player was going down on seemingly every drive
Wow, I was just about to post something conciliatory about your beautiful state (been there) and you pull this stunt?

The only booing that occurred was when #90 went down when we were driving and then the next guy to go down after LSU fans booed our guy
#90 was Brockers. Did you not see that an WVU caught him low? Maybe unintentional, but replays showed it was a chop block. Then the "other guy" was our offensive lineman who is out for another 2 weeks possibly. What other injuries are you talking about? I saw nothing that slowed the game.

I don't know what the Giants have done, but I have followed LSU football for a long time, and we've faced a lot of hurry ups. This isn't our first experience with it by any stretch, especially recently, and I've never seen or heard of LSU faking injuries to stop the momentum of the opposition.
I don't know about you, but I'm not a mind reader, even though my ex thought I should have been. I still can't pull that off, so I have to give people the benifit of the doubt. LSU is a good team, and run by a classy coach, and it just doesn't fit him or the team to pull stunts like that.
Giants have been all over the news for the past week for blatantly faking injuries. NFL even sent out a warning to all teams. Being at the game, it was the first thing to come to everbodys mind. I'm not condoning booing, just trying to explain where our fans were coming from. Even some of your fans in your own gamethread on this board thought you all were. But I'm not saying you were

Agreed. I was also embarrassed by the asshats who interrupted classes in Morgantown on Friday. It is sad what people have become.
meh i thought it was funny. the interrupted classes not raped their women.

Holgerson's sideline personality was also disturbing
it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again

this is how i know we werent faking injuries. if this was their best "example"... brockers is our best DT, maybe best linemen period and at worse our 3rd best defensive player period.
he aint faking shite.

I was at the game. Don't have the benefit of replay like you do watching on TV. At the game, Brockers seemed to be faking. See my above post

I guess I can somewhat understand how you confused LSU players with the NFL personnel.

Fair, but what other examples do you have besides T-Bob Hebert's (O-lineman) injury? I've read all this discussion about phantom D-lineman injuries. It's just not true. If you want a legitmate gripe, then bitch about our secondary's jawboning; at least that really happened.

OK, I'll stop there since we're all laughing. If true, welcome to the SEC. I'd love to get back up to Charleston. I was there for the Regatta Days in the mid-90's. Beautiful town and I couldn't get over all of the cajun food on the restaurant menus. They did blackened catfish really well and boiled "cajun" peanuts were an awesome treat.

Regardless if they were or not, and I seriously don't believe they were as we have people go down with injuries constantly in games we play because there is a lot of hard hitting going on, it's still NO EXCUSE to begin booing what YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW to be the case, so it ends up making you look like an arse hat who doesn't give a shite about anybody but your own self interests at the risk of others playing the game.
Booing is bullshite, and those who boo other than maybe a call by the ref or whatever that they feel was missed or a BS call, is not cool by WVU or LSU fans. I realize this means everything to people in West Virginia as LSU does to many in Louisiana because it's about all many have to hang their hats on in life. It still doesn't condone conduct like that, not back then, not now, and not tomorrow either, and neither does not being able to handle one's alcohol. People need to grow up and do some maturing.

If true - interesting that USC voted against it. Rutgers, UConn, Notre Dame puts ACC at 1 school too many.

quote:Remembering the little word "fan" is short for "fanatic." The incident(s) at WVU are offensive to us because we don't realize how awful some of our "fans" can appear to visiting teams' fans. Piss bombs, "f" bombs, tipping port-a-potties with someone inside, drunken behavior all around. If we are truly honest we'll have to admit it: we give as good (or bad) as we get. Sadly this is a societal problem and it's present in many, many rabid football venues. We've all seen our share of examples at LSU, by LSU "fans".
You can't judge everyone by the actions of their lowest common denominators. PLEASE GOD, don't judge LSU that way. We have more than our fair share of numb skulls who need their drinking privaledges revoked for life.
Mike da Tigah is right in praying all LSU is not judged by the same standard. We can all rise to a higher standard and still enjoy our football.

I remember after the 2007 UK game I was walking down the ramp as the UK kids were running up to storm the field and I caught the end of an LSU douchebag beating a shite out of the first kid in blue that ran through (half his size of course). I yelled at him but some other guys grabbed him. Classy butthurt a-hole. I'm sure that guy feels the same about LSU.

still bitching about the game..gtfo

I bet you fire him in the next three years because he does something stupid away from the field.

Fine. They seemed fake. A LSU player was going down on seemingly every drive. Fine, they're injured. But then a d-lineman goes down while we're driving seemingly not touched at all, when you're at the game it seems fake. Especially when the Giants have been in the news over the past week. For the record, there was very loud applause for the first few injuries. The only booing that occurred was when #90 went down when we were driving and then the next guy to go down after LSU fans booed our guy

Right tackle Alex Hurst is probable after leaving the game with a blow to the head, as is safety Craig Loston after he suffered a similar injury tackling WVU’s Tavon Austin on a kickoff return. Defensive tackle Michael Brockers left the game twice with unspecified injuries but will likely return by the end of the week. Miles said offensive lineman T-Bob Hebert (concussion) is day-to-day.

Miles said he expected several players injured at West Virginia would likely return this week. Offensive guard T-Bob Hebert was described as "day-to-day," by Miles, who said defensive back Craig Loston, offensive tackle Alex Hurst and defensive tackle Michael Brockers would all return this week, although he said Brockers would miss Monday's practice.

I would point out that Michael Brockers is number 90 and he missed practice yesterday due to that "fake" injury.

I wasn't impressed with the conduct of their coach either
I agree, there coach looked like a total douche. However, when Saban was here, he looked the same, just directed it at his own players not the other team. I think that comes under the category of yeah, he's an a-hole, but he's our a-hole. Seems more tolerable when they are your coach and they are winning.

after this weekend and everything I've heard. I do NOT want WVU and their fans in the SEC!
