Yeah b/c of the money factor. But A&M will put more pressure on LSU recruiting Houston and East Texas.

That's why I wonder who ISN'T there. Because if all three of those are then we could only get eight votes in favor

i'm pretty sure vandy does not have an AD. fact. they dismantled the athletic dept. a few years back. surely, they have someone in charge they can send. it is the wierdest "arrangement" i've ever seen. football is on the same level as club sports (at least on paper). also wierd is that their football and baseball programs began to be much more competitive after the department was abolished. the only think i can figure is that the faculty hated the athletic dept. so much they resented funding it. now that it's gone, they are ok with the funding of the club sports program. noone ever said professors had any sense.

Probably the best article I've read so far. It basically tells me the following:

1. Texas A&M went to the SEC. Not the other way around.
2. The SEC said, that sounds good. We needed to make a move anyway
3. The SEC doesn't want to involved in legal matters, and A&M doesn't seem to have their ducks in a row in terms of how they would leave the BIG12 and separate themselves from the UTit.
4. This is all in the very early stages and the teams being thrown around (Clemson, FSU, Mizzou) are all very preliminary. This explains why the admins of the schools can accurately claim they haven't been contacted. This is because it is probably also true that UF, UGA, and USC don't want them in, and the SEC doesn't want to act without having that conversation.
5. No one knows anything except for how the schools admins feel and will vote. I would love to be a fly on the wall for this meeting.
