This = :beatdeadhorse:
Most tired question/point brought up.
When's the last time our team has been good enough to beat an SEC team? Seriously, last year was the first year since the early 2000's probably. But we didn't start the right guy against Arky(somehow we still hung around). They were our best shot. Our program is on the rise though blah blah fran screwed us blah blah. But seriously, watch out this year.

Because you have no answer that doesn't contribute to your embarrassment as a recent CFB program. The best you could do if you join the SEC is keep U Tx on your schedule and annually f'em up.

You don't think we've notice our mediocrity for the better part of the decade? You think we were proud of the crappy teams we put out on the field? H
Hell no. Fran was a program killer, half the kids he recruited never saw the field, and treated our players like shite.
But now we have a Good coach who has a good foundation with his recruits, we have top-notch facilities, and we're Texas Football.
Talk is cheap. But we'll prove it. I'll bet my non-existent tigerdroppings reputation on it.

No you're not. You aspire to be Texas football. Any by the way, nobody in SEC country gives a damn about "Texas football." In fact, we view Texas as soft. Here in the South, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, etc. reign. Our players and fans don't give a flying f__k about Texas. Y'all play "soft" football in Texas and y'all have soft fans compared to the SEC.

Translation-I've never lived in Texas and don't know what I'm talking about.
Year Winning Team Losing Team
2003 Texas 32 Louisiana 29
2004 Texas 17 Louisiana 15
2005 Louisiana 10 Texas 7
2006 Louisiana 7 Texas 3
2007 Louisiana 31 Texas 15
2008 Texas 24 Louisiana 14
2009 Texas 17 Louisiana 14
2010 Texas 42 Louisiana 15
Our "soft" high school football has whooped your arse. Why would the SEC try to recruit Texas if we were "soft". Come on bro, be serious.

Bama owes us more for "giving" us Fran than taking Bear from us.
Fran set us back a decade. But we're getting it together under Sherman. And is the biggest surprise for many. They weren't expecting it. the sips are in for the biggest loss this year vs. A&M, mark my words.
Doc great comment on the botherly feeling when you're in the SEC. I can see that, and respect that. I think A&M is more than ready to get it going with you guys. That is what sets us apart in the Big 12, our unity and toughness. That is why we hate the sips so much....
because of their ATTITUDE. You see, A&M vs. gayhorns is more than a sports rivalry. It is a way of life vs. another. "Rough, Tough, real stuff Texas A&M" (from the Aggie War Hymn) fits perfectly in this comparison. sips are preppy and arrogant. that is why they are such awful fans, leaving games before it ends.
Aggies never leave the game, and never sit down, all 38,000+ students at each game, no matter the score, no matter the opponent. You'll also soon enjoy the half time show when we bring in the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band. Will make all your pom pom HS bands look gay, literally.
so in short, we're ready for the SEC, and all that it entails (even the beatdowns in our break-in period)

If you're talking about kids who grow up playing football in Texas, ie Texas high school football, I'm not sure what to tell you. The best team in Mississippi would probably struggle in most 5A districts in Houston and Dallas. The Packers held their Super Bowl practices at Highland Park High School. The state of Texas has an absurd amount of talent and high school teams typically pack 25,000 seat stadiums on Friday nights. I guess that's "soft" though.

Sorry but having a crowd full of people waiting on what to cheer and when by a bunch of male cheerleaders refutes that argument.

garnet, that scene from your student section looked great btw, really looking forward to playing you guys.
the yell leaders, i know, hard to understand. you know there is a stronger feeling that we nee to introduce cheerleaders, and I think it should happen sooner than later. but the yell leaders are not going anywhere. it is part of the history of the school

Wow, actually surprised. Forbes has us higher than Tulane, A&M#178 and Tulane#190.

Considering SC and A&M never play and the only recent history they've had in anything worth a damn is baseball. Not just last year in Omaha but also when you guys tried to hire Tanner away from us a few years ago. So personally I have no issue with A&M and their fans and I doubt there are too many SC fans that do. But holy hell that is going to be one long as trip to make it from Columbia to College Station.

I wasn't necessarily just talking about high school football. But, I noticed you left out the 2011 game with Louisiana winning by a score of 30-23
So, out of the nine years the two have played, the series is 5-4 in favor of Texas. Yet, you "whooped" our arse? :roll eyes: Let it be known that not all of the stars play (for both sides) and your state is ranked second in terms of population while Louisiana is 25th. That says a whole lot right there in my opinion...

Idk about A&M but I'll say this about Students Section at Willy B.
Thursday Night games just seem like a shite show.
Everyone drinks faster after class and everyone is Loud Wild and Drunk. And the Bigger the win, the louder it gets.
example: Ole Miss 09 & Kentucky 07 (ya they were top 10 then)

Well, if you guys are coming to the SEC you are going to have to do your fight club homework. You need to put a beat down on UT, and at the end piss them off by chanting S-E-C! Doing the same to OU will get you extra credit.
