Same reason to keep Vandy?

Wait, you're comparing a commuter school to Vandy?

4 hours away, don't like the idea this conference is looking for teams up north and further away

Not all Tiger fans live in BR or LA.

Houston is just as competitive as other bottom schools in the SEC in all sports.

I disagree. They are competitive in the CUSA, but I don't think they hold up over an entire season.

Houston is a huge market.

Yes, hence the addition of A&M.

I would rather Texas to come over any other team the SEC is looking at.

Never. Going. To. Happen.

Obviously I am making to Houston reference in comparison to Vandy. This school should not be in the SEC. If Vandy stays, then why not let Houston come? Bigger media in Houston versus Nashville. Vandy is terrible in football, worst than Houston. I don't see your point. Baton Rouge is 4 or so hours away. And yes, most LSU fans travel from south Louisiana areas near Baton Rouge and thats not even debatable. It is all about money abd back scratching. These conferences are not doing what's best. Sad to see the SEC lay low and invite a maybe 2nd 3rd tier school from the state of Texas.

Houston doesn't have as big of a following as it seems they do. It'd be kind of unfair to push them onto a national stage like the SEC.

That'd be like A&M in football, but a bit worse, and other sports probably couldn't even compete, either.

Okay, piece by piece.

Huh?

I agree. Houston should NOT be in the SEC.

There's no question of Vandy staying. Check your SEC history as to why Vandy will always be a member. Houston sucks and is irrelevant on the national scene.

YES, HENCE A&M.

Vandy is terrible in football, worst than Houston.

Debatable. How do you think UH would do in the SEC year in/year out?

I don't see your point.

It's clear as a bell.

Huh?

Never said most didn't - just said that not EVERYONE does. A lot of people travel from TX...a lot.

No shite.

And you know this how? What is 'best'?

Are you referring to A&M? 'Cause if so, that's the funniest shite ever considering YOU want to add UH.

Made a reference to Houston as a comparison to Vandy. No, I do not think Houston is worthy as of now in the SEC, but it can be debated if Vandy is in this conference. Vandy is terrible, what don't you understand? Vandy is here just for the acdemics, duh everyone knows that. Again, Vandy is a blackeye to the SEC. Nonsense, Houston has a way bigger media market than Nashville. Any school invite to the SEC from any conference would immediately become better with all the resources. Do you follow football? Do you see how there is a former conference USA team now Big East who is ranked in the top 25 not long after joining the conference. Vandy has been here forever and still does nothing for the SEC but academics. The decision made for conference expansion has nothing to do with academics. For your information, if Houston shared SEC money, the Cougars would be very competitive shortly afterwards.

What else to expect from a SMU follower. Your program has been ignored for ages. Surprised football was ever allowed again. You ought to know a little something about how money can change a program around.

Sweet lord, that's a load of stupid.

Vandy's not going anywhere (nor should they), and neither is Houston.

I know Vandy is not going anywhere. If the only way A M was to join the SEC was to get rid of one SEC school, which would it be?

Told you my reasons, tell me why they should stay?
Conference expansion is based solely on money. Football brings in the most money. Vandy stays home and enjoys chunks of the bowl money without doing their part. Too bad if you believe in socialism. I do expect the responses coming from schools with no crystal balls. I am sure Florida and Bama fans would agree and not want some unworthy school staying home for the holidays spending their earned money.

Houston has played in 20 bowl games
Vandy has played in 4 bowl games

I lawl'd.

Everybody in the US loves socialism in sports. NFL draft, NFL revenue sharing, College revenue sharing, NFL salary cap, blah blah blah. Please stop talking.
