Possible legit reason why TU won't play TAMU.

If they did have the thanksgiving day fight it would be a permanent Big 12-2-1 vs SEC match up which would bring in the big bucks. Big bucks CBS/ESPN would want...and of course if they get knocked out by an SEC team that's it for their national title hopes.

the only reason they wont play the game is that there arent't enough baby-wipes to soothe the inflamed anus' of the Longhorn drones

The Longhorns lead the series 75-37-5.

there's really not a good reason to end the rivalry. I'd love to hear a legit horn one but I havent yet.

There are basically two reasons the sips wouldn't want to continue the series:
1) Fear about getting beat.
2) Ego's were hurt when we decided to leave the conference against their wishes.
Here is what TAMU president Loftin has to say about continuing the rivalry.

Their AD is already saying he wants to keep 10 cupcake teams like it is now so they can have "a clear road to the national title." Personally, it'd be hilarious to see them beat up on Baylro and the like only to get stomped on the BCS title game.

Why would Texas still feel any need to play A&M? Oklahoma is already a much bigger rival. If A&M wants to bail, who cares?

ehh
i hate to see it die, but they left. Looking at our schedule our OOC games seem pretty full over the next few years. I wouldn't be surprised though if we play a few games with them a decade like we do arky.

so you are saying that if they won every game for 35 years straight they still would have not tied the series?

I can pick random dates also btw. Since i moved to Texas and started paying attention to the programs(a few years before i went to UT) we are 8-3...

UT is excited that they can fill in another Patsy instead of actual competition. Yes, ND is a Patsy!

ehh ND and A&M have had about the same level of success over the last decade or so. With ND actually having won a bowl game.
