Why cant they realize that the Big 12 is fricked.

I can see them adding Louisville tho.

Still a patchwork of a conference.

West Virginia looks like it's hanging out on a limb.

interesting.

so the Big 12 looks like a bent pencil dick and the SEC looks like a set of big balls.

That's a boomerang looking to whack the SEC in the nutsack. Just sayin.

Change the division names from West and East to Southwest and Northeast and no one can say it doesn't make total sense

Geographically no Missouri is West of all but two of the current 12 teams. Does it seem like it could work the way you have drawn it up...sure.

Regardless, 2 of the 3 closest schools to Mizzou are in the East; UK and Vandy.

Make Arkansas the permanent rival, and they're playing the 3 closest teams to them each year.

The only one that is further than, say, A&M and LSU is UF. All of the other East schools are not significantly further away than most of the other West schools.

How long before the remains of the Big12 is absorbed by the SEC? Texas' ego eventually will have to give.

I think it will happen, but only after a monumental shift in how they perceive themselves.

That would definitely be a challenge to the SEC: the two giant states of California and Texas? Damn son.

Auburn would appear to be more geographically conceivable in the East.

If you want to stay geographically pure, you divide it right down the Alabama/Mississippi Border, putting Vanderbilt in the west.

IMO it makes more sense to move Auburn to the east and put Mizzou in the west. Play 9 conference games and have 2 rotating and one permanent cross division opponent. Require all teams that have 5 conference home games to play a BCS OOC game on the road that season.

*I personally don't care for the permanent opponents, but it is a compromise.
