Who would they split up if they only add 2? Bama and Auburn?

Won't happen. Bama and Auburn will only move if they move together. They have to play each other every year, and Bama must play UT and Auburn must play UGA. Whoever is left in the west would need 2 permanents from the east. I don't think the conference would go back to that formula.

As someone else mentioned, you could possibly move Bama, Auburn, and Vandy.

Once all the RB coaches sign off on I thought the same when I read this.

I assume the scenario was Heupel was not at the school or athletic facilities at the time and the RB coach was still there when OU received this information or made this decision.

Baylor and Okie St. maybe? Texas Tech is a better fit for the Pac 10, and this would really stick it to Texas

I have a good buddy who is connected to the Big 12 and has a pretty good stake in what is going on here, so it is his job to follow all of this stuff and find out what is going on. He tells me that the latest he has heard is that A&M and OU to SEC with UT going to Big Ten or PAC 10. He also said the OU to the SEC stuff was corroborated by a radio or TV interview with Josh Heupel saying he had just received a text from OU's running backs coach saying they are headed to the SEC.

If your buddy told you that then somebody's been feeding him donkey shite and you're getting that second hand cuz that ain't gonna happen! A&M and Zero U ain't going nowhere without Texass and Okie St.

Let's be real none of you have "insider information". Having a friend who has a friend who's dad graduated from OU in the 70's isn't insider information

If you moved Bama and Auburn over and brought back Vandy the East would just be too hard.

I think the more we hear about A&M and Oklahoma then the closer we are to adding them and Texas and Ok State. It just makes more sense. What does Texas do if the Aggies and Oklahoma go to the SEC? The whole Pac 16 thing would be off.

If we kill the Pac 16, does the SEC really gain any benefit from being the only 16 team megaconference? Besides money?

All this was hashed out on everydayshouldbesaturday.com.

Even a video of Huepel's interview.

Personally, I would really like the addition of TAMU and OU. However, instead of losing both BAMA and AU to the East, I would prefer we add Clemson and FSU. Then the watch as the SEC goes on a 20 year national title run.

This would blow donkey dick. I don't want to give up our annual games with Auburn and Bama for Vandy, OU, and A&M. The LSU/Bama and LSU/Auburn games have been epic for the past 7-8 years, especially the Auburn side of it.

The more I think about this, the more I just want the SEC to stand pat and keep whipping arse.

What would be FUNNY is if the Big 10 took UTx and told Nebraska "no thanks."

Who's to say that if we do this, for the "next 7-8 years" or OU and A&M games aren't just as epic?

For LSU, more than other schools, rivalries are probably at the bottom of our list of worries.

OU & A&M to the SEC make all the sense in the world to the SEC West teams and to A&M/OU because of the proximity to Louisiana & Arkansas. Plus it renews the OU/Arkansas rivalry. The decision makers at those schools know there is all upside here and no downside.
