The PRO SEC camp is still winning at A&M and don't expect to say yes to a Big 12 Lite offer.

Stallings is owning this process in the media. LOL.

I still predict that A&M will accept the SEC offer on Thursday and the little 4 will go scurrying off to the west.

Welcome to the SEC, Aggies. You guys have more balls than I thought.

A&M would look bad accepting this obvious bribe from UT, which apparently OU has no trouble accepting.

Aggies will look like the good guys by jumping to the SEC.

Good point. He may be telling the media that he's "tickled pink" about the idea of saving the Big (less than) 12, but once he gets hold of the numbers, after vomiting at the payouts he'll need some pink (Pepto Bismol).

If Texas is for real, your offer is probably going to be rescinded FWIW.

Yet another ESPN report.... LINK

quote:

Based on a TV deal in the works that could pay them upwards of $25 million per year, Texas is leaning toward staying in a 10-team Big 12 for the foreseeable future, Orangebloods.com has reported, citing sources familiar with negotiations.

And look who they're quoting from....just gets better and better...

I sure hope the SEC doesn't do that. I would be ashamed of our conference.

Why? Things have changed. The conscience of the SEC would be plenty clear. They would want stability. Inviting A&M screws up everything and the Pac-16 is for real. Why would the SEC want a superconference to deal with when doing nothing results in 2 mediocre conferences.

The SEC doesn't want anyone in the ballpark of challenging their supremacy.

On ESPN's College Football Live they sure are acting like Texas A&M is going to stay with UT. Now is the time for the Aggies to tell UT to shove it and come out smelling like a rose. If A&M is ever going to truly get serious about wanting to win national championships, they have got to get out from underneath the university which calls all the shots which is Texas. Texas A&M will get good in a hurry if they just join the SEC!

A&M hasn't done anything yet... the power brokers at A&M are in a meeting right now. We should know something soon.

If A&M announces a BOR meeting for Thursday/Friday, I would say that looks great for the SEC
