doesn't matter to me I see this as a win for the sec and lsu. Probably even a bigger win if A&M stays in the big 12

Regardless of what happens, aTm has earned a lot of respect from a lot of people for having the balls to stand up to UT.

Texas is desperate to keep A&M now that they've moved over to wanting to stay in the Big 12 (hell, they NEED A&M in the league at this point), ESPN would love nothing more than to block Fox and the inevitable Pac-10 Network from grabbing the entire Western and Southwest US market with a Pac-16 Super Conference. Their way of doing so would be to do the Big 12 deal and, in the process, get Texas, A&M and OU locked up long-term. The Horns, of course, would get their coveted network (which A&M could do too if they wanted...and anyone else in the league for that matter).

Still, even with that, at the end of the day, Powers and Texas will be getting what they always wanted most: The Longhorn Sports Network. He'll be a very happy man if this happens. A&M will win and be much better off. So will OU. But Texas will be happiest of all.

Explain. The "win for...LSU" part.

LSU is the #1 most negatively impacted SEC school by the admission of A&M.

Because there is an uneven wealth distribution in that conference which goes to Texas.

You get LSU more exposure in Texas.

It's over, retards.

The 'Little Ten' is here. There are no more moves. It's done. Period. End of story.

I think the benefits for LSU (and the rest of the SEC west for that matter) are greater than the negatives... more exposure in Texas is a good thing for us, IMO.

bullshite. LSU does fine recruiting in Texas. Ask Russell Shepard, Craig Loston, Zach Lee, Terrance Toliver, Michael Brockers, Stavion Lowe (not to mention LaFell and Addai). We don't need Aggie to improve things.

However, Aggie gets out from UT's shadow and gets to play in the nation's premier conference. Aggie will take some of those recruits from us.

Right now, we're the western most member of the SEC and any Texas recruit who wants to play in the SEC finds LSU a natural fit. With A&M, we lose that.

This is the same reason Florida will veto letting Miami or FSU into the SEC. Florida enjoys being the only school in that recruiting territory to be able to offer the SEC cache. Well we're the only one close by Texas that can. And we're doing just fine thank you.

We don NOT want the Aggies (even if we can enjoy watching Texas and the Pac-10 twist in the wind).

You have your opinion I have mine. Right now LSU is 3rd behind texas and OU. Elite talent isn't going to go oh since A&M is in the sec now were going to A&M. They are more focused on going to elite teams. It only helps letting these players watch lsu live in texas

So what does it do for Bama, Florida, Georgia etc.?

One game in Texas ever other year is not enough positive to overcome the negative of giving A&M SEC cache and opening up Texas to the rest of the SEC.

And yes, this is just my opinion
