bad. 3 times for Arky. Still.. that's not like going every year, like it was made to sound. 3 out of 18 tries should just get a big thank you from yall instead of whining.
2 of the farthest West schools in the SEC have had to make that trip 6 times since 2000.

7 out of 19 games have featured Arkansas or LSU.
11 out of 19 have featured Alabama or Auburn.
Not really a big enough gap to not elicit a conversation about playing out in Dallas or Houston every once in awhile.

Actually 3 + 4 for LSU so 7 out of 18, roughly half the time I'd say is pretty often. Plus it's a wash for Miss st. and closer for Ole Miss if they ever make it.
Would rotating it really be that horrendous? It's done for SEC bball tourney, why not football?

Ya know what, I think Texas should join the SEC just to get the conference headquarters and conference title game both permanently moved to within the state of Texas.....and then the Longhorns go independent, just for kicks.

Nothing is wrong with Atlanta...
...and nothing is wrong with Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, etc.
God forbid we try something new.
When it moved from B'ham to Atlanta...was their resistance from the gumps?

Now, what would it be to Dallas for everyone?

You can just throw this one out of the comparison since it will never factor in.

Can you seriously say you'd rather go to ATL than NOLA for any game? I don't understand why you would be so against it being rotated.

One team would be traveling right back to Nola les than a month later, it would be less beneficial to more teams than it would benefit.

That won't be happening.

if A&M joins the SEC we'll finally have a new rival!
It will be more of a rivalry than the force rivalry with Arkansas.

I'd like to see what the attendance figures for SEC basketball tourney are this year compared to last several years in ATL. I'd be shocked if they aren't up by quite a bit.
Posted on 8/1/11 at 4:03 pm to graychef
from 10 teams having less than 380 miles to travel to Atl, going to N.O. would cut that in half, with only 5 teams travelling less. So an increase from 2 teams, to 7 teams travelling more, I just don't see it happening. It hurts way more than it helps.
