Apparently this fiasco has caused some serious hard feelings and several schools and donors are none too happy. Two problems. The increased revenue is merely an estimate and the ESTIMATED revenue will be split unevenly.
My opinion is A&M and Texas are only backing this deal due to political pressure because neither one wants to be the bad guy.
A&M has an open invite from the SEC. Tech is still aggressively exploring other options (see uneven revenue split). The Big 10 wants Missouri IF they can get ND.
It is only a matter of time before the Big 12 implodes.

I'm glad Texas politicians have their priorities straight

that's my bias as well
and it's obvious there are a lot of hard feelings - clearly everyone but Texas feels less than valued with how things shook out
And the amount of money being allegedly provided for the Big 12 just didn't make much sense - for what was now a very regional conference with a very limited # of games with national interest

Make sure you have done your research. Texas annually sits on a surplus. Our state is VERY well run.

Even Texas alums are unhappy. Tic, Tic, Tic.

ags, why do yall call texas fans "sips"? I saw that on a few A&M boards in the last week but haven't been able to figure out the meaning.

Whorn fans are the hoity toity, "we are better than you, tea-sipping" type. A&M fans are the whiskey drinking southern types.
They got the name "sips" from that.

'sips dates WAY back. Aggies have tended to be the hard working, small town folk of Texas. Aggies refer to Longhorns as Tea-sips or 'sips for short. Picture the city slicker sitting around sipping tea with his fairy little pinky sticking out.

Well... maybe we'll get to welcome you "chuggers" to the SEC after all.

Maybe I did not make myself clear on a time line. The Big 12 will not last more than 2 years. Book it.

Check back in two years and see if the SEC invite is still open. TT has NO PLACE to go, so I don't get that.

TT is being pissed on (no pun intended) with the new "deal" and is none to happy.
