Not buying this UNLESS bama is putting out other legit and better options at these meetings.

I don't care about traditional rivals. I don't want to move to the east. frick Missouri add a team in the east and keep it like it is.

It appears at least four schools are voting no.

I don't like the move to the East. It would be cool to pick up the rivalry with Florida, but we would lose the rivalry with LSU, which IMO has been the most entertaining of the last two decades.

Also, I think it makes the divisions too uneven with four of the traditional Big Six in the East and only two in the West.

Also, while I don't have a dog in the fight I'd hate for Bama-Tenn to lose their rivalry. IMO that is one of the top five rivalries in the SEC and that needs to be preserved.

With all of those cons, I just don't think it is worth it to add Missouri, which isn't that much of a "get" their team is not that competitive, their markets are good, but not great, and they don't seem like a cultural fit.

I say we hold on with 13 until a better (probably ACC) option becomes available.

You sir/madam obviously have no experience in politics.

It's never about having just one vote.

You are right about me not being a politician, frick that and them.

I like shite simple and logical. You need 9 votes. Each vote counts as 1. Bama is no more important than anyone else.

So AU wants TO move for traditions sake, and Bama wants to not add Mizzou for tradition's sake. Why is one ok and the other not?

Also, Bama's not wanting to add Mizzou also has something to do with the J School. Bama's is very well respected. A lot of kids major in that. Mizzou's is one of best in country (not quiet Syracuse good, but Mizzou will be in SEC)

Don't forget the travel distance between Mizzou and the rest of the SEC. That is my first problem I have with Mizzou.

The SEC is going ugly early. But why? The SEC is a pretty big deal. It has many leather bound books and smells of rich mahogany.

bullshite. AU is cool either way. We gave up more than anyone in 1992. If the SEC wants to add a school from the East and keep us in the West, you won't see uss whining and trying to block it.

That said, when you have more conference championships that the next 2 teams combined, your opinion is certainly listened to at the conference office

Bama has 22 SEC Titles.

UT has 13 and UGA 12 they combine for 25. You're a little off.

Messing with that Alabama-Tennessee matchup would be shitty. I'd love for Missouri to not get voted in if teams have to switch divisions for it. They don't bring THAT much to the table.

Obviously, Bama-TN are playing cards to thwart the vote - hence their vote is counting more than one.
You never know what side deals are being worked out. For all we know it could be UA-UT-AU-UF stopping the vote. It will work itself someone will give and someone will take.

Personally, I don't want to lose Aub nor Tenn. To Hell with Mizzou-fickle hooker she is.

Suprised it took this long to get this out of the way.

Smart move by auburn, solidify that we keep our rivarly game with UGA and no way the sec doesn't schedlue auburn v bama as an annual cross divisional game.

Will suck not playing that one on the last week fo the season though.

The way it is now is damn near perfect...if they could just add a team to the east to go with the one added to the west, it would be a seamless transition.
I don't want "New Coke"...just give us a new can.
