As a coaching destination, is Mizzou more attractive in the Big 12 or SEC?

As someone mentioned in another thread, Pinkel won't be around forever.
Doesn't the head coaching spot at Mizzou become more appealing when the prospective coach knows he will be butting heads with some of the most successful/popular/intriguing coaches in the country?

For just football, or for the big 3 sports?
If it's just football, I would think it would benefit them more in the SEC. they boarder both Arkansas and TN. They could possibly dip into Memphis for recruits. Memphis isn't run by any one team in the SEC. Including the vols. They would have a better TV market as well. Games on CBS for the entire country to see... does it get better? Not to mention that it would be equal revenue sharing between the 14 teams in the SEC, and in the Big 12 they would still have to watch UT receive more than the rest.
For basketball it makes more sense to be in the Big 12 unless you consider their newly 'love' of Arkansas and their new Basketball coach.
For Baseball it's a push, but I'd think the SEC would make more sense with the new addition of A&M.

Not when said team isn't winning...

With all being said I would think the SEC for any team, as you will be going against the top Coaches/Teams in the country but also you guys produce really good coaching candidates who would most likely want to stay in their own conference. With that being said I in no way want to replace our coach. Just answering the question.

The thing is they need to win to reap the rewards. They can become a quick afterthought if they come into the sec and lose. They would prob be ranked 5th in the division (assuming they are in the west and auburn to the east). I think they are a better fit in the big 12 and could be more competitive but the dollar signs are very tempting to come to the SEC (if they get an invite).

Mizzou would be more attractive in the SEC because they can afford to pay more with SEC money.

there aren't that many hc jobs in the bcs environment. so i would think that many coaches would be happy with either conference but these gys are pretty competitive and i can see many hc candidates that would rather compete in the sec, esp if it turns out that mizzou's recruiting is elevated due to the move.

I don't really think a West Virgina fan has any right to jab at Mizzou as a destination for football coaches.
y'all couldn't keep a guy that actually went to your school and had boosters and an AD blatantly sabotage the guy that followed him up.

True. LSU could have had Nick Saban if Archer, Hallman and DiNardo had been winners.

Lol pretty good points. It was fricked up what Rich Rod did though.
