Just when conference alignment can’t get any stranger, it does.
The Kansas City TV station KCTV5 is reporting, citing multiple high-level sources, that Texas and Texas A&M are now looking to move to the Big Ten Conference and have petitioned for membership, leaving Oklahoma scrambling to join the SEC, and Oklahoma State, the Pac-10.
KCTV5’s sources say OU must bring a school with it to enter the SEC.
Sources told KCTV5 that there have already been discussions about Texas and Texas A&M entering the Big Ten and that the agreement could be made as soon as Thursday.

Damn, I really wonder what the appeal is of the Big 10 is to Texas? Its far away as hell and it doesn't have as good of a reputation as the PAC 10.
And why couldn't Oklahoma convince Oklahoma State to come with them if they have to have one to enter the SEC. Is Oklahoma State just that much against entering the SEC as well?

According to Chip Brown that story is not true.

There's a Kansas City TV report saying Texas and A&M to the Big Ten. That would be news to those schools.

This is for sure: College football is losing its magic while accumulating its money and drop-kicking its memories.

Disagree....
OU and Miami to the SEC. Adds Miami TV market...huge.
