Welcome.

Now how are they going to balance the race the SECCG? Make A&M ineligible for the title until a 14th is found?

I don't see how a six team race in the east is balanced against a seven team race in the west?

I agree. Scheduling will be very interesting. Would the east teams play one team from their division twice? Otherwise some teams in the West wouldn't play each other. I don't know..

Instead of 1 perm and 2 rotating from the East, we'll play 6 west opponents, 1 perm East, and 1 rotating east

In 1,000,000 years I cannot for the life of me understand why this topic keeps coming up over and over. So what if it's "unbalanced" for a couple years? Big friggin deal. We'll work around it, the 14th team will emerge at some point in time, and all will be well again.

Let's see....deny A&M simply because we havent yet found a 14th team, and lose out on a rare opportunity to add a major university from the state of Texas......OR, work thru a bit of clunky scheduling for a couple seasons?

hmmmmmmmm.....I wonder.......

You cant understand, because you're an idiot. One permanent and one rotating means 7 x 2 = 14 cross division games for the west schools. How many games are the east each going to play to reach 14, considering there's 6 schools?

because you're under the delusion this is going to go on for years and years - which would make you the idiot

SEC West:
6 Division Opponents
1 Permanent East Opponent
1 Rotating East Opponent
= 8 Conference Games

SEC East:
5 Division Opponents
1 Permanent West Opponent
2 Rotating West Opponent
= 8 Conference Games

are you that dense to not comprehend this basic math? Exactly how many years do you think this will have to work? Realistically, the SEC will have to endure this thru 2014, 2015 at most? I cant believe you foolishly believe this is going to be the status quo for 14 years, or whatever arse-backwards math you've thrown together. Go hang out with SunHog, you two have alot in common

I don't think that this is a permanent situation and I don't have a problem with unbalanced schedules for a year or two. However, it is a problem.

What you're failing to realize is that you cannot have more games that the East is playing against the west (6x3=18 games in your set-up below) than games the west is playing against the east (7x2 = 14 games). Sorry I called you an idiot, but do you see what I'm saying? In every cross division game, there will be 1 east and 1 west team. The number of games that the east and west have individually must be equal. See what I mean?

Edit: and really, I don't have a problem with the schedule being screwed up for a while. I like the addition that much. That being said, I like VT also so I hope we get it balanced with them soon.
