BK is an excellent coach that has Notre Dame at its modern-day ceiling

What more can he do? It’s not practically possible for them to win a title in modern CFB, he maximizes what one can do at that program.

I haven't paid attention to his HC career but Mario was Saban's weakest OL coach. He was there to recruit.

How Cristobal is lumped in with the others is ridiculous. Did you see his record at FIU? And you want that. Another head coach who was never smart enough to be a coordinator? He's another rah rah meathead. You people don't learn.

Great list.

The idea that some people actually include Napier with those other names is fricking hilarious

Why can’t he recruit better? Notre Dame could sell itself. But he gets in the playoffs and has his arse handed to him.

Kelly, Riley, Fisher - have all hit their ceiling
Cristobal - sucks
Kiffin - inconsistent and unstable
Napier, Aranda - both on the rise; Aranda has a better resume right now.

He recruits well, they’re currently Top5 for the 2022 class

That’s with their program’s limitations. They just have more hurdles and lack the resources and internal/external program infrastructure that the big boys do, and that’s no fault of his

Gotta disagree, Napier has far more experience actually leading a program.

Jimbo recruiting prowess is highly exaggerated.

I guess my only point is that IMO it’s impossible to get over the “hump” at Notre Dame

I doubt even Saban could win a national title at Notre Dame, they’re just not on a level playing field with UGA/Bama/OhioSt/Clemson/etc
