I doubt even Saban could win a national title at Notre Dame, they’re just not on a level playing field with UGA/Bama/OhioSt/Clemson/etc
Bingo.
Kelly could make LSU into the next SEC dynasty.

Are you named for the band or Ellie Mae’s boy friend?

1. Brian Kelly- Consistency
Consistently average. No thanks.
He fits the profile of the kind of HC Woody likes.

I still believe he can do better.

Lane Kiffin- Entertainment
Kiffin is entertaining because he is WINNING! If that were not the case you would be hearing very little about Killin (i.e. Shane Beamer) Kiffin can flat out coach and would be a great hire for LSU and would do for LSU what Spurrier did for Florida...and for a long time.

Here's mine: LINK
(Someone had to do it.)
To more seriously answer the question, it really comes down to two candidates for me: Lincoln Riley and Dave Aranda.
I just don't see the need to go beyond those two, as I really don't believe Aranda would say no to us.
Riley is the safer bet, in terms of both long-term success on the field and program management, but Aranda could be just as capable. Both are masterminds of one side of the ball, and are intelligent enough to realize what they don't know.
Deep down, irritational/risky as it may be, I think I want Aranda more than Riley. He just feels like the right choice to me. And that's assuming Riley is genuinely interested in a move to LSU, which is not certain by any means.
I'm glad Woodward is making this call, and not me.
ETA: That said, if Matt Rhule is actually interested in making a return to the college game, then my perspective changes a bit. I'm hardly convinced of that, however.

Too many bonehead decisions.

Sun Belt Conference to the SEC.
What does that have to do with a group of genocidal nationalists who really hated Armenians? Are we about to kill Sarkisian?

Bill said that Aaron Neville line to Hoakie at Tip’s one night.

I like Billy Napier, but expect growing pains.

You base this on what? His current track record? Lol Christ.
He needs to go to a P5 Program as HC. Then we can circle back to properly quantify what he’s done.

I love the Lincoln Riley hire.
My Bama friends are bemoaning.
The head ball coach matters, so hire the best!

Kiffin can flat out coach
He was flat out fired from USC, a blue blood power house in a cake walk conference. All the recruiting resources LSU has. He failed and was left at the alter. He is a fool, a child and a mockery of the business. He is best suited with that clown show in Oxford.

Uhhh no. This isn’t the early ‘90’s where you take a risk with an up-and-comer from a small school. LSU is 2 years separated from a NC and can go after and land a big, proven name. Not some guy who won a few games at USL. He can go painfully grow somewhere else.
