Even if Mettenberger is good at LSU, would you really think he developed at LSU?

Please develop it into a good QB.

Can't? You must be a shitty QB developer.

He'd be right. That's been our problem since 2008. If you don't see that then you probably don't need to be posting.

Gonna point out that A certain team is gonna win a national championship with out developing a QB. Also saban had his two best years at bama with QB on already on the roster.

Quarterback recruiting, and even drafting by the NFL (who has the best scouts, etc) is hit and miss.

LSU missed on these two guys. The problem came when they also missed on Garrett, leaving them with no other options.

Plenty of schools have missed on QBs.

We are only focusing on LSU's situation, and rightfully so. But look book at the QB recruiting rankings from years past, and you will see highly ranked QBs that you have never heard of, because they haven't panned out.

Poor Lee, he should transfer now in hopes of starting QB elsewhere!

I'd use USC as an example for how to recruit QB's. They have signed a five star QB recruit just about every single year. Yet, they are still hit or miss at QB. For every Maek Sanchez they've had a John David Booty.

LSU has gotten lower ranked QB's than USC in general. It is unfortunate that we got two subpar guys in a row, three if you count Garrett, and lost one to MLB. LSU's situation is unpleasant, but it is not unique, just ask Texas.
