There are plenty of quality DC candidates out there, we just need to cast a wider net and go get one.
Sure this is kind of embarrassing our head coach keeps putting his foot in his mouth in public and we miss the guys he's naming, but that doesn't mean we're out of options.
Lots of good names mentioned on here and ones not mentioned on here.

Our spoiled fan base thinks Bill Belichick would be honored to be our DC.

Oh come on you can't be serious? You are (unsurprisingly) conveniently only talking about what he said this morning while ignoring what he said Monday.

Please tell me when an LSU coach has PUBLICLY commented on a specific hire before it was official in the past, to the extent of naming a candidate by name or being blatantly obvious who they were referring to? He's now done it with Freeman, Nielsen, and Peetz/Mangas.

I'm talking about him shutting the frick up about hiring anyone.
HE's been saying since the Freeman debacle he's waiting on someone and we all knew it was Neilsen. Then he comments on it during ongoing negotiations.
He should say absolutely fricking nothing.

Coaching searches are fluid, it’s just nature of the beast.
I do agree that Orgeron needs to quit talking publicly about individual candidates. Just say “we’re doing our due diligence, talking to a number of guys, and we will find a great coordinator.” And don’t mention a Specific person until the official announcement.

Even when said transparency creates embarrassing optics for the program and potentially has negative impacts on coaching hire negotiations?
