Where did they finish?

The fact Pitt is your example as a big win for fedora tells you everything about fedora.

That he can beat Pitt and Clemson can't?

So now Pitt is a power house since they lose five games a year and upset Clemson once.

Let's get the northwestern coach, he beat Iowa who beat Michigan. Geeze

The amount of reaching people will go to support a poor position. Really trying to claim Pitt as a big win? Pitt as your second best win is pathetic.

Yay, we beat Pitt! Why did we fire miles? Hell, he beat ulm who beat bama. Huge win!

I know who he is, I want a case for his hire.

I look at a 26-48 HC record and see one thing. I'm asking.

If you are replacing a coach winning a 75% clip. Chances of hiring a guy with a higher winning % is slim.

So you look for the guy who has potential to elevate the program.

McIntyre hasn't coached 10 years after he built or inherited an program to establish A sterling winning percentage. What we do know is he elevated two programs to heights they have not seen in decades.

So if you are looking for someone to elevate your program, he has established he has the potential to do so.

Unlike fedora, He's actually beat quality teams too.

I get the high level view, I was asking you to dissect and sell me.

The where and why parts. All I see is a guy that mostly loses, then has a good season. I put very little weight into this season. That's one of my issues with this board. A week, a half, even a score triggers the reactionary types. Wild bipolar swings.

The body of work seems shoddy to me.

you do realize that record doesn't always tell the story with a coach?

esp if you are just going to go off of 1 year.

how do people not understand this?

It is hard to recruit at West Virginia. I really like his (Holgorson's)diamond offense. I think the guy would kill it at LSU or FSU.

So one impressive season after three successive losing seasons makes him a more viable candidate than Holgerson and Fedora?

Get the frick out of here.

5) pj fleck second longest winning streak in the ENTIRE NATION much more impressive job.

Say this with me...M-A-C...MAC...MAC...Fleck coaches in the MAC...Western Michigan doesn't play anyone in the MAC...Western Michigan hasn't beaten anyone in the MAC

Lester if you are going to be a fan of fedora and say look at more than one season, then fedora has no positive. He had one season at southern miss and one with unc.

I don't look at a season. I look at where the program was and where it is after 3 to 5 years when the coach has his players.

Who is he beating? You can have a fools gold season like fedora where you accumulate wins but beat zero top 25 teams. Your best victory is against a five loss team.

Fleck is a good recruiter but a CEO type game manager. It would all depend on what type assistants he brought in.

Well Colorado has been bad a long time.. San Jose state was bad a long time. He's proven he can coach in the p5. Has NFL experience and learned under Parcells. I wouldn't be opposed to him if jimbo and Herman are off thr table

Holgorson is a Kevin Sumlin disciple. Don't forget that.

Having said that, LSU should ABSOLUTELY hire him.
