Well, Howell’s WR didn’t help him at all late in the 2nd half. There’s been a couple drops that would have been big.
Didn’t agree on a couple screen calls but whatever.

frick no. He’s incredibly average to bad against a defense with a pulse. Did you notice how often the A&M D knew exactly what was happening and where a play was going? It’s because his offense is color by numbers and good DCs with experienced players will scout it all with ease.

Play calling was actually pretty dam good. Perfect? Not IMO, but pretty dam good from my seat..
Execution wasn’t there tonight. Mainly at WR but OL some as well.

Yet their QB is 6th in the nation in passing yards, tied for 4th in Avg per, 11th in Comp % and 7th in td's. And they had 2 backs go over 1,100 yds each.
Not much you can do when you lose 2 1,100 yard rushers(28 TDS), and 3 of your top 5 receivers to opt outs before your bowl game.

It happens every time they play a good team. It happened to him every time he played a team as good or better at a Ole Miss. He runs a super simple offense that any good DC can break down and scheme against. The fact that Ole Miss fans are begging us to hire him should tell you something.

Any DC can chalk up how to stop a Counter, but I’ll be damned teams run it every week for tons of yards.

Yeah, well if the other team stops it consistently, then you adjust. We all know ATM can stop a fricking WR screen because Longo ran them all night for no gains and lost yards. It never worked and he was still throwing them in the 4th quarter. Never a double screen to maybe freeze the defense. No pump and go to burn them for playing up. Just the same fricking thing over and over, all game long.
Do you want a guy who won’t adjust when shite isn’t working? Go ahead and hire this fool. How about if you loved Ensminger’s 2018 infatuation with sideline vertical routes? That’s a Longo special. The guy is literally everything we don’t want or need rolled into one overrated OC. Where do we sign?
