no, i don't think he has. he has been a head coach so i think he could hanldle coordinator duties better than some have recently.

I'd take him as DC. I actually thought about him last year.

Why not? Has he burned that bridge? Or is he just not experienced enough to call the d? I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he could do that, but I know I'd enjoy his quality recruiting and coaching up the dline.

Because I think he's a neanderthal and his mentality/temperment isn't something I think is that good to have in a coordinator. Muschamp is intense and excitable but Orgeron is an animal.

And someone mentioned recently that his defenses got worse at OM and so I looked it up and statistically, that appears to be true.

I just think we can do a lot better.

I wouldn't mind him as d-line coach though.

I know. And if the defense shows no improvement and Les makes a change, he's got to get it right. I'm confident Miles will feel Orgeron isn't that guy to return us to an elite defensive unit.

And a few other folks on here been saying that Orgeron tried to get on last year at LSU but was shut down by Big L.

he was my first choice in the offseason, but it will take a lot to get him to LSU. He would be a great fit. He works wonders with D-Lines, guys play hard as hell for him, amazing recruiter.....and he could just focus on coaching defense, not the periphery head coach duties.

also, i would love to hear his interviews.

Finally, after "x" number of posts about Dunbar, someone finally responds.

I met Dunbar back in high school at the Nichols State Lineman Camp, while he was still at Okie State. I don't think there is any tension between him and Miles--only Pelini I think there was bitterness--and Dunbar was thought to be first in line for the DC job at Minnesota.

I'd like to get him back as the full-time DC and assist Earl Lane with the D-Line.

This is a hypothetical situation, but let's say Miles leaves a few years from now. Dunbar, being a former Tiger, would be my choice for the HC job.
