It’s pretty much exactly what Saban says.

Everyone do their job. Be best you can be. Don’t look at scoreboard. Results take care of itself if every player plays their best.

People kind of blew this quote up, especially after one of the TV guys went in on him (Brady Quinn, if I remember correctly). But I do think he was saying something similar to what Saban says ... just didn't land it well.

People are asking him about the higher expectations for this season based on what he's built so far at Iowa State and how they really haven't had the year a lot of people hoped for. He's answering by saying that other people focus on a championship, but his goals are oriented around the whole program and the process to become champions. The rest will work itself out. He's not wrong. Just communicated it poorly.
